Your Home, Your Castle – Container Storage Solutions for Major Renovations
Big renovation projects come with big logistics challenges. When you’re restoring a historic property, the last thing you need to worry about is where your belongings are going to live while the work is underway. That’s exactly the kind of challenge Container Relocations helps clients navigate.
We were delighted to work with Marco Creemers and Ryan Sanders, the new owners of the stunning Earnscleugh Castle near Clyde in Central Otago – one of New Zealand’s most remarkable heritage properties. With a major restoration project underway, Marco and Ryan needed a secure, practical way to move the contents of their Auckland home and store everything safely until the castle was ready to receive them.
Our team carefully packed and loaded the contents of the Auckland property into two shipping containers. The containers were then transported south to Central Otago and delivered directly to the Earnscleugh Castle site, where they served as secure, weatherproof on-site storage throughout the restoration. Everything stayed in one place, protected and accessible, without needing to be shifted again until Marco and Ryan were ready. No additional handling, no offsite storage facility, no unnecessary moves – just a straightforward solution that worked around their timeline, not the other way around.
It’s a great example of how shipping container transport and storage can be adapted to suit projects that don’t follow a standard moving timeline. Whether your renovation runs for months or years, having your belongings close by – secure, dry, and accessible whenever you need them – makes the whole process a little less complicated.
Congratulations to Marco and Ryan on an extraordinary renovation. The transformation of Earnscleugh Castle is truly something special.
